Palmer Day has been a huge success for our community. It is held on the Saturday after Labor Day. Palmer Day features a parade at noon and other events include a 5K run, Top 30 Car Show, Bean Bag and Horseshoe tournaments, Bingo, Koosie Kar races and other great kids games. Non Profit Organizations selling food and beverages. DJ in the after noon, big raffle and live music and dance in the evening. Clear Lake Lions Beer Garden. Palmer Township Clean Up Day is held in May at the township hall. Watch for details in the citizen paper or on website.
Articles Accepted:
Scrap Metal, Batteries, Large Appliances, General Junk and Construction Matter, Tires, Mattresses and Box Springs, Upholstered Items, LP Tanks, Electronics. Because of high disposal costs, a small fee will be charged.
Materials Not accepted:
Household garbage, brush, leaves, stumps, adhesives, driveway sealer, gas refrigerators, hazardous waste, paint, fluorescent bulbs, used oil and oil filters and pressurized tanks.
